Secure Label Generation and Automatic ZPL-to-PDF Conversion

We have deployed two key improvements to our shipping module: duplicate label submission prevention and automatic ZPL-to-PDF formatting fallback.

Secure Label Generation and Automatic ZPL-to-PDF Conversion

Fast and error-free package shipping is the foundation of any successful e-commerce store. In the latest Kiero OMS update, we focused on increasing the stability and security of the shipping label generation process (InPost, Wysyłam z Allegro, etc.).

We have introduced two enhancements to simplify warehouse operations and protect your business from unnecessary courier costs.

1. Automatic ZPL-to-PDF Conversion (No More Thermal Printer Issues)

Shipping labels are often generated by logistics providers in raw ZPL (Zebra Programming Language) format. This format requires proprietary drivers or dedicated Zebra printers, making it difficult to preview on standard devices.

What has changed?
Kiero OMS now features a built-in background fallback that automatically converts ZPL files into universal PDFs. We have removed raw ZPL formats from the UI, meaning you can now preview any shipping label directly in your browser and print it using any standard office or thermal printer without installing extra software.

2. Double Submission Protection (Button Disable)

With slow internet connections in warehouses, staff sometimes clicked the "Generate Label" button multiple times before the server responded. This sent duplicate API requests to the carrier, resulting in multiple generated (and paid!) labels for a single shipment.

How we solved it:
Now, as soon as the "Generate Label" button is clicked, it is instantly disabled until the system receives a response from the carrier. This prevents accidental duplicate label orders and protects your budget from double charges.

These minor but essential stability improvements make Kiero OMS even more resilient to human error and streamline daily warehouse routines.
